Cue-King Premier 400 Snooker Cue, Pool Cue, Handmade 57' 18oz 3/4 Jointed with Case, Zebra Wood Cue with Hardcase, Extension and Microfibre Cue Towel, Snooker Cues, Pool Cues, Snooker Cue Case @ £99.99This nicely finished cue weighs in at 551g (18.9 OUNCES). So on the heavy side. The mini Butt extension is an additional 100gThe cue is made of Ash not Maple. As such the wood grain is very good and the chevrons match the chamfered butt part of the cue for alignment. The balance point of the cue is 99cm from the Tip and the total cue length is 145cm (so this cue is weighted more forwards than a typical 105cm balanced cue). The tip is a little soft to start with but will firm up after a little use.The case is typical for a ¾ cue. It will protect the cue from any knocks and bangs; and has spare space for a longer telescopic extension if you wanted to purchase one.The microfiber cloth is nice/convenient and handy to have. There is not much flex in the cue so it should not put unwanted side spin on the cue ball easily. Also it should not cause miss-cues on screw shots.Screw shots worked well and will get better the more the tip beds in.There is a nice “glide” to the cue i.e. it does not stick/grab on your bridge hand.Mini butt extension works fine. The main joint is a suction/screw which I have seen before and has a very positive action/feel to it and should last “forever”.The tip is a standard 9.5mm which is the general size for snooker these days.All-in-all this is a nice all-round cue for the price.
This is a really beautiful looking pool/snooker cue. It has a beautiful finish that is a result of a tri-wood blend (Zebra, Ash and Maple wood). To me, it looked a little darker than some cues I've used in the past, but I appreciated it.The cue feels light, but sturdy. Perfectly suited for what I look for. The addition of the extender was useful and not something that I've had with many cues I've owned before. All of the screw-style attachments were smooth and it was easy to assemble/disassemble the cue to play/place it back in the case.Using the cue I found it very smooth and easy to strike the balls with. I'm by no means a great player, but it seems as good as any cue I've used in the past. It has a really premium feel to it.
This lovely cue comes in a very attractive traditional style case with three hinged clasps and a brass-like makers plaque which is pretty cool. The good impressions continue inside with the fabulous maple cue itself which screws together very nicely and has a brass ring at the tip. Also included are a short extension and a smart branded towel. It feels and looks super smooth in the hand and very classy in appearance. It does feel good to play with, consistent and well balanced and a definite improvement on my previous cue and I'm feeling confident that it will improve my game with time.
For over £100, one would expect this pool cue to be very high quality. And it definitely is. Best feeling pool cue I’ve ever used, feels great and comes in a lovely box. Definitely hand crafted.
I'm quite new to snooker, only a few months into playing. Jumped at the chance to try this Cue-King. My first impressions was quality all round, strong hard case, great protection, nicely finished. The cue feels smooth and good to hold. Fits together perfectly and looks amazing. I'm used to much cheaper cues, full length, no joints. So I wasn't sure what I would make of this, so pleased I had to chance to try, its made a world of difference to my playing experience. Overall, this would make a wonderful gift, excellent cue.
I've been playing for a smidge under 25 years, I've had a couple of cues in that time but my last one is 20 years old (a Riley, 'John Higgins' one, the other one being a BCE Fu cue).I've only ever tried to re-tip one and made a howler of it, so haven't tried that again, but I'm a reasonable player. Saw this cue come up and was very enthusiastic to try it out.Unlike my older cues, this Cue-King one is split much closer towards the base. I don't know if this is a recent trend. Weight wise, it comes in at 520g, which is about 10g heavier than my old Riley one.One quirk, or perhaps modern change (I'm unsure which) is that there is no rubber bumper on the base of the cue, so you'll need to be careful you don't knock it on the floor. My old Riley one also has an extension and that has a rubber bumper.Everything attaches together very tightly. I've only had chance to practice on the kids' small table at home (so bear in mind the object balls in the photo will look small in comparison) but it's very nicely weighted, and I'm able to put spin and control the cue ball much better than my outgoing one.The case that it comes with feels very premium, there's also a cloth/wipe down towel included.Very happy to recommend, it's a lovely finish and feels very nice to play with.
I’m always a bit sceptical when ordering something online but I was not disappointed. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is that the case although good quality doesn’t meet flush at the ends which to be honest is not an issue. The cue itself had the tiniest little dent at the butt end which is hardly noticeable and didn’t bother me or affect play. The cue is awesome it plays beautifully and feels great. Value for money and I would definitely recommend.
Huby was so happy with this - absolutely loves it. A very well made and nicely weighted cue which feels and plays as quality as what it looks. Such a nice design and finsih and really stands out amongst less cues - definitely recommend trying as hubby loves it.
The Cue-King Premier 400 is a fantastic cue at a reasonable price! It’s well-made with a beautiful tri-wood construction, and the maple extension adds great reach without affecting balance. I’m really pleased to finally have a quality cue rather than relying on a “loan” cue. The cushioned case is a nice touch for protection. Highly recommend!
A nice looking cue which I think actually looks more expensive than it is. Build is very good and fits together nicely with a reassuring feel. In use it feels comfortable and well balanced. I don't have much experience with other brands to compare it to, but my previous cue cost half as less as this and this feels of a much better quailty. I love the storage case too which is very useful. At under £100 this is all the cue I'm ever likely to need!
After playing with club cues for years, this is my first proper personal cue and it makes a huge difference. The weight and balance are just right, it lets my skills come through. And the zebra wood is a nice touch, it gives it a distinctive look.I've been using it once or twice weekly at my local club and it seems to have improved my consistency, especially with longer shots where you can really feel the quality of the strike. The case is proper quality too, not one of those flimsy ones that fall apart after a few months. The microfibre towel is a nice touch, though I ended up buying a second one to keep in my bag.The extension fits seamlessly when needed, with no wobble or play in the joint. After a few weeks of use, the tip is holding up well and the cue still feels as solid as day one.
Really nice looking cue to go in my collection. The grain effect is almost flawless and lines up nicely leaving an arrow effect that helps you line up your shots. As this is a higher quality one, I don't want to damage it so will be keeping it in my collection for now.The cue comes with a hard protective case which does its job well. There's also a cleaning cloth inside to wipe off any fingerprints after use.
Snooker is a sport I grew up playing with my father and then with friends, it is one of the most fun and relaxing pastime I still enjoy and whilst I will never win a World Championship, I do like to think I can hold my own, at least against my friends. Over the years I have simply used whichever cue was available at the Snooker hall we visited though I do have my own Pool Cue and its one I have used for years, I know it well and I only like to play with it but I have always wanted my own Snooker cue like my Dad owned and still remember being taller than me when I was a kid! This is one of the most well made and beautiful examples of Snooker cue craftmanship I have seen, with its high price comes that top tier professional player feel that starts with the case and continues inside to the cue itself. You can feel and see the exquisite hand crafted work in the cue that like all pro cues is screwed together with brass connectors, the feel of the wood in your hand is smooth and the precision of control you have from its balance is really spot on. The wood continues into the cue extender making it look absolutely beautiful and kept safe in the solid case that comes with a cleaning cloth as well for those high tension battles. The high price is a worthy investment if Snooker is a passion of yours and this is one cue that will stay with you for a lifetime.
This two-piece pool cue is well-made, screwing together easily, with a decent finish that gives it a smooth glide in your hand. It has a pretty good, generally well-balanced weight, and a quality tip good for power shots. It feels comfortable, with a textured grip that gives you control, and it feels like it will last. The pool has a really lovely weight in the butt of the stick and it feels great in the hands, along with being very sturdy. On the bottom half of the pool cue, there's a good quality thread, so the top half screws on to the bottom half nicely and stays secure.Overall, this is a really lovely pool cue, and it's as described, it's well made, and should last many years of use.
The case that the cue comes in is lovely. It has a solid handle, I believe brass hinges and clips, and end stops, so that resting it on the ground won't damage the main body. As for the cue itself, I was a little disappointed in the colour of the darkest wood. The photos show it to be warm with tones of orange. This is dull and a dark brown. It has a much more masculine vibe than what I was expecting. Other than that, I like the patterning. The pieces need to be pushed together well before screwing in. The extension piece doesn't sit flush and looks a bit odd. There are a couple of slightly rough patches, but nothing that impacts on play. In fact, it slides beautifully through my fingers. The presentation is good too, even down to the embroidered cloth.
Does have a bit of weight to it.Good to hold and pretty decent grip.Comes with a small screw in extension.Lovely premium case, giving overall protection, cue resting in nicely cushioned inner. Also a microfibre cloth to ensure smooth shot.Premium cue for both pool or snooker.Reasonable at just under £100.
This 400 Snooker Tip is a premium handcrafted tip designed for precision and durability.Measuring 57 inches long and weighing 18 oz, the tip features a 3/4 jointed design for enhanced control and performance, making it ideal for snooker and billiards enthusiasts alike. The zebra wood construction adds a stylish and elegant touch, providing a professional look. The set includes a hard case for safe storage and transport, a tip extension for reaching those tough shots, and a microfiber tip towel to keep your tip in top condition.
I think this is a excellent cue, and consider £104.99 a high price for a cue l, but with this one, worth the money. It's such high-quality, the shaft is made with American Ash wood, its also got a cue extension, which is made out of maple wood.It looks fabulous, feels good to hold too. It's got a bit of weight to it too.The cue as a two-piece is 147cm, and the cue extension gives it an extra 15cm.Easy to put together, you just screw it together with the brass cue joints. When broken down, it all can be carried in the carry case which is solid and cushion lined. The case is about 120cm long and plain black. In the case there's a space for chalk and the microfiber cloth, which it comes with, the chalk however, you have to buy that separately.Me, personally, I fancy this as a pool cue, but can obviously be used for snooker.
The Cue-King Premier 400 Snooker/Pool Cue is a brilliant stick for those who enjoy a serious game of snooker or pool. The craftsmanship is immediately apparent, the finish is smooth, and it feels well-balanced in the hand. The wood feels durable, and the weight distribution is just right, making long sessions comfortable without feeling cumbersome. What I particularly like is the grip; it’s not too slick or too sticky, which gives me great control over shots. The ferrule is solid, and the tip holds up well, maintaining a nice contact with the ball after many games. The Cue-King Premier 400 offers great value and solid performance. It’s a dependable cue that’s well-suited for intermediate players looking to step up their game.
My previous Riley cue had seen better days so was time for an upgrade. This cue from Cue-King is just that. This comes in a hard case which houses the cue, extension, micro fibre cloth, and leaves a bit more room for accessories. The case is strong and will no doubt protect the cue for years to come - my previous case was soft, so had to be really careful how I handled my cue. The handle could be better (a single strap) - you also have to strategically pack the cue pieces in the right place to avoid it tilting while holding the handle. The cue itself is good quality - the bottom piece screws on easily and sits flush. The extension doesn’t match the main cue though. The tip sits well on the ferrule and have not yet needed to replace. The cue feels a nice weight and balanced - I would have preferred a touch more weight but it’s almost there. I can feel the grain when I cue so I’m in 2 minds whether to sand it down, though this sometimes promotes dirt and chalk build up. I’ll live with it for the time being. It’s not the cheapest cue, but it’ll last a long time if looked after. Recommended.
This is a beautifully made, well-balanced cue. It's interesting to see just how well the quality jumps in comparison to others I've tried in the past. The cue is comfortable and feels wonderful to hold, with fantastic weighting. The design and finish quality are second to none, it would be a real treat for a snooker enthusiast to receive this as a gift. The sturdy hard case allows for confidence in traveling with the cue. Very impressed overall.
Cue-King Premier 400: A Decent Cue for the PriceGood Build Quality: The cue feels well-constructed and sturdy, offering a solid feel in hand.Playable Performance: The 18oz weight provides a good balance between power and control, making it suitable for various playing styles.Stylish Design: The zebra wood finish adds a touch of elegance to the cue, making it visually appealing.Comprehensive Package: The included hard case, extension, and microfibre cloth offer excellent protection and convenience.Overall:The Cue-King Premier 400 is a reliable choice for those looking to upgrade their snooker or pool game. While it may not be a top-tier professional cue, it offers solid performance and value for money. If you're a beginner or intermediate player, this cue is definitely worth considering.
I have a few snooker cues, but this is the highest quality pack I have ever had. Everything about the pack is quality.I can't find any fault with the cue itself which is beautiful, smooth and has fine detail. What was great also was the protective cushioned case that it came in. That really made the difference. I was expecting a simple box, but this case also suggests quality. The feel is great, leather sided with handles. Its a look that suggests your a professional.
I've been lucky enough to try the Pro Series 001 cue from Cue King, which has been my regular cue for the last 6 months or so.I was also keen to try this one to see how it compared as they are similar in price and specifications (this coming in slightly lighter and £10 more currently). In all honesty I've found them very similar in performance. If you like a natural wood look then of the two this is the one to go for. If you prefer a more modern look (with a blue finish on the base) take a look at the pro series 001, which I can also highly recommend. This cue comes in a fabulous hard case. It's perhaps lacking a premium look as e.g. the handle looks a bit cheap and lacks a bit of style (but performs well). Three clasps give it a secure close and the hard case protection is fantastic being designed properly for the size of this cue plus a few chalks and you can fit the polish cloth in too that comes with this set.The cue comes in two pieces plus a small extension piece. Assembly is easy with a good screw mechanism. The extension doesn't quite match the remainder properly, so it looks a little odd but is rarely used anyway, so no major issue. The cue comes polished towards the rear end with a more rough, natural finish near the tip. This is good for grip. The cue has a nice weight balance to it and excels with all types of shot... Power and spin are all consistent and it's more than good enough for my level of gameplay. The 'zebra' wood finish is striking and tapers to a more solid brown colour towards the base. It's a handsome cue for sure.I've tried cues over £100 like this and also cues around the £50-60 mark (Mark Selby protégé, Riley Moderno), so have a fairly good feeling of cue value. I'd happily recommend this one if you're looking for a good-looking cue that performs really well too. The hard case alone is worth a significant amount and so it also seems good value to me overall and this is going to last years.5 stars from me.
This is a brilliant cue: by far the best I've ever used (though that isn't a high bar to be honest). It's very well made with no signs of any blemishes and the finish is silky smooth. It breaks down into the usual two parts but once screwed together there is no hint of roughness at the joint – it feels like a one-piece cue. Handily there is also an extension that can be screwed into the butt-end for those long rest shots in snooker.Even the case looks classy and has three sprung clasps to keep it shut. If your into pool and/or snooker this is well worth the money as it should last a life-time if you take care of it.
It is a high-end pool cue, ideal for those looking for precision, quality and elegant design. The artisanal workmanship gives a unique touch, guaranteeing a product that combines solidity and refinement. The smooth surface offers a comfortable feel, while the optimal balance allows for greater precision in shots. The 3/4 articulated structure allows for practical transport without compromising the quality of the game. The set includes a well-made hard case, ideal for protecting the cue during transport. It is a good choice for those who want to invest in a cue that lasts over time and improves the playing experience.
I recently got my hands on the Cue-King Premier 400 Snooker Cue and have been absolutely loving it. As someone who enjoys playing snooker and pool, I wanted a cue that would feel professional but still be practical for regular use. This cue really delivers!First off, the zebra wood finish is a real standout. It’s not only visually striking but feels fantastic to hold. The wood has a natural smoothness to it, which makes a real difference when you’re taking those crucial shots. The 57” length fits comfortably in my hands, and I find the 18oz weight to be just the right balance — it’s neither too heavy nor too light, giving me perfect control over my shots. The 3/4 jointed feature is another highlight. I travel often and love playing snooker or pool whenever I can, so being able to easily assemble and disassemble the cue for storage or transport is a big win. The case it comes with is sturdy, providing solid protection for the cue when I’m on the go.I’ll be honest, it took me a couple of games to get used to the feel of the cue, but after a bit of practice, I could definitely feel the difference in the accuracy and precision of my shots. It glides smoothly and feels really stable, making it easier to line up those tricky shots. It’s the kind of cue that makes you feel like a pro — I’ve been getting compliments from friends who play with me.Whether you’re a snooker or pool fan, this cue adds a touch of class and professionalism to your game. It’s not just about the looks; it performs great too. If you’re serious about your game, or if you just want to enjoy playing with something that feels top-tier, I can highly recommend the Cue-King Premier 400.
