These balls are mostly great. They seem very similar to ones from one of the top manufacturers most teams in my pool league use but are around a third of the price. I think the listing is wrong as they are more like 2 inches than 2 1/4 although I don’t have an accurate way of measuring to confirm this. They are English pool balls, I think the seller has out billiards in the listing to get more hits when people search which is a bit misleading.The main problem I had with these is that the white ball doesn’t seem to be the right size. All the other balls went through the table in the pub I play for ok but the white got jammed. This isn’t ideal but we used the white from the normal pub set so could still play.

Just to clarify a couple of things which aren't mentioned in the description or are mis-represented of this product:The cue ball in this set is slightly smaller than the object balls (red, orange). This, I believe, is for English pool (where some coin-operated tables can use this difference to recycle the cue ball but not the object ball. This is useful to know if this affects your purchase.Secondly the item description is for 'billiards' but billiards involves two cue (white) balls (one with a spot on it) and a red ball. This set doesn't have a second cue (white) ball and so this could be misleading if you don't consider the pictures.Thirdly, the item description says that all the balls in this set are 6oz in weight, which is incorrect. That equates to ~170 grams and by my scales the object balls are 121 grams each and the cue ball is 100 grams.The box itself describes them as premium pool balls and I agree with that.This is a very nice set of cue balls presented in a high-quality box and packaged securely. No marks at all from transit as the balls are sat separately on a foam bed of inserts.I must admit I personally prefer spots and stripes compared to red & orange as for this set. That however is just a personal preference.The balls themselves are fab with a very polished, quality surface.I'm not an expert in pool but a casual player and for my current/previous set the balls are all uniform weight including the cue ball (at 118/119 grams). I'm not entirely sure why the cue ball in this set is so much lighter. I've explained why it could be smaller but I was under the impression it should still be the same weight even if it is smaller in diameter intentionally. Therefore, playing with this set the cue-ball feels a little mismatched with the object balls as they are relatively so much heavier.These balls are regulation size - only suitable for a full size pool table and so if you want to use it on a home set that is smaller make sure you intend to use it on one with wide pockets as otherwise these balls will be oversized for your needs.Overall it's 4 stars from me - mis-described slightly as 'billiards' (and so has no cue ball without a spot on it, which is slightly annoying in itself) and I'm not sure on the discrepancy of the cue ball weight compared to the object balls (plus the product listing says they all weigh 6oz but that is incorrect).However, this is a high-quality set but compared to my current/previous set (Riley balls) it is also relatively expensive.I've tried a Cue-King premium cue before which was (and is) fantastic. However, the item description at least needs clarifying with this premium pool balls set.

If you have your own pool table or compete in pool competitions, these pool balls will be a great option.I have never played anywhere near professional or high-end pool with high-end equipment so cannot really comment if they would be suitable for this use however to me they seem great quality.They feel a good weight and all the coloured balls seem to be exactly the same size and have a good roundness with no noticeable imperfections. They also have a nice, shiny finish making them clear to see and giving them a good amount of friction.Overall, I would definitely recommend these pool balls.

I have ordered these as a Christmas Gift, my sister and brother-in-law have a small pool table and have used the same BALLS for over twenty years, they are a coloured set with spots and stripes. My dad in his mid 80's now has trouble differentiating the spots and stripes and sometimes pots the wrong ball, which frustrates the hell out of him, he is still very competitive. After we have eaten we all play pool, darts, card games, board games etc These will be so much easier for him as he has no issues with colour ...They are a good quality set and will allow him to play for a few more years. He has a very slight cataract and it's when the light levels are low that his eyes don't work well so the bright single colours on these balls will be brilliant for him and going forward easier as he ages so he can continue to play ...Happy to recommend as a set, they come well presented so will make a great Christmas present, American Pool versus English Pool who cares, it's just great to get together and play and be inclusive to my dear old DAD!

This is a nice set of pool balls that I have no real complaints about.They played nicely on my bro's table and felt as good as his triple price set, they played nicely and neither of us were even thinking about them after a couple of games.In the description it does mention they are 2.25 but this is wrong, the title is correct and they are 2' balls so just pointing that out in case there is any confusion. I also weighed every ball and they were all bouncing between 120-121 g so a little higher than the 'standard' as I understand it, but they were all uniform and I was happy with that. The cue ball came in at 98g.All in I'm happy with them, at the price they are a great set with little to complain about.

I’m not sure about the detail, but I don’t think these are billiard balls. I believe they’re pool balls and they’re perfect for that purpose. They’re high gloss and move smoothly. The resin seems perfect and likely to wear well without scratching. The solid colours are bright and vibrant and they’re presented in a quality box that looks impressive. A pool fanatic has had a go with them and is impressed, so that’s good enough for me to confirm they’re a great item. Happy to recommend.

By no means am I a good pool player or one that would notice if a ball was or wasn't regulation, but I do love a game of pool alone and with friends and family. The ball set I got with my table was 100% a cheap set the balls are old and battered now and was happy to replace with this set from Cue-King.The balls come with a very deep polish and each ball has a nice high gloss shine. The yellow balls do seem a little more orange then I thought they'd be.The balls roll smoothly and well on the table and have lasted very well so far.

This set would make a lovely gift because the presentation is so nice. The balls come in a well made outer box which is great for storage.The balls themselves are very premium. The finish is flawless, they are perfectly round and properly weighted. I used a scale and a pair of callipers to measure the accuracy of the dimensions of the balls and they are all well within tolerance.Right now they are sitting on my dining table as a display object because they are so pretty. They look dazzling in the light and I like just having them to hold. I’m not sure if the finish would get damaged from play, so I’m still deciding if I’m going to let my husband use them.

It’s a variant of pool that uses a simplified set of balls. The product consists of: two groups of seven solid-coloured balls (one group of red, and one group of yellow/orange); one black 8-ball; and one white cue ball. In this game, the red and yellow balls act similarly to the solids and stripes in American pool, with one player assigned to pocket all balls of their colour before sinking the 8-ball. The balls seem very well made, have a quality look-and-feel to them, and are attractively packaged. They would make a good present for anyone who has access to a billiard table.
